Wu Hao, Golden in Golden!

The Computational Geofluids Lab travelled to Colorado School of Mines (CSM) last week to present our latest research advances and discuss ideas for new directions. The meeting was sponsored by the VT-CSM Center for Advanced Subsurface Resource Models (CASERM). Rick and I both presented research in the area enhanced geothermal energy recovery, but Wu Hao definitely stole the show during the evening reception and student poster session. In fact, she could scarcely find time to enjoy the food and drink because she was too busy discussing her poster, Modeling CO2-water-rock reactions in a basalt fracture network. In fact, she did such a fine job that we may have unlocked some new and exciting opportunities for collaborative research with geophysicists at CSM. We'll see where things go from here, but in the meantime we're sending big, big congrats to Wu Hao for a job well done!!!
