Thea Goes to Golder 🙌

Today, I'm sending the BIG CONGRATULATIONS 🎉 to Thea Torrisi, who will be leaving the lab for a Staff Geologist position with Golder Associates. While working in the lab, Thea developed a GIS database for pre-feasibility assessment of CO2 sequestration in the Dan River Basin. Her work is the first step in an important project that we hope will result in further characterization efforts for CO2 sequestration in Virginia.

While we'll definitely miss Thea around here, it comes as no surprise that she was scooped up by a top environmental consulting firm soon after graduation. She was a phenomenal student-scholar and she passed the ASBOG Fundamentals of Geology exam on her first try! Good luck, Thea!!!
