Sending another BIG congratulations to Rick Jayne, who is the recipient of the 2019 Outstanding Doctoral Student Award for the VT College of Science. The award comes with $500, a banquet meal, and lots of recognition! Well done, Almost-Dr. Jayne!
And just to add a little icing to this cake, the second paper from Rick's PhD research was published last week with International Journal of Greenhouse Gas Control. In this study, Rick tackles the complex challenge of multi-phase fluid flow and reservoir heterogeneity in the context of geologic carbon sequestration in flood basalt reservoirs.
